After the counting process ended, officials announced the final results shortly after midnight. The results confirmed that the current Ward 20 councillor, Wandile Mazibuko, secured the nomination.
As a result, Mazibuko will represent the ANC as its official candidate for Ward 20 in the Local Government Elections scheduled for 4 November 2026.
Supporters welcomed the announcement and celebrated the conclusion of a peaceful nomination process. In addition, many community members expressed confidence that the selected candidate would continue addressing issues affecting residents.
