Written by Xola Magagula on April 13, 2026
Residents in the Nsikazi South area of Mpumalanga are advised of a scheduled water supply interruption that will affect several communities within the City of Mbombela (Nelspruit), the provincial capital. Silulumanzi provides water services across the Mbombela City region, including the key Nsikazi townships of Karino, KaNyamazane, Tekwane, Msogwaba, and Matsulu.
According to the notice issued by Silulumanzi, a planned 12-hour water shutdown will take place on 14 April 2026 from 07:00 to 19:00. The interruption is necessary to allow for essential maintenance work, specifically the repair of a 600mm pump line leak to the Ezweni Reservoir near Shishila.
The shutdown is expected to impact areas including Pienaar, Clau-Clau, and KaBokweni, along with surrounding communities. Residents are encouraged to store sufficient water in advance and use it sparingly during the outage period, as delays may occur depending on the progress of maintenance work.
Silulumanzi has assured customers that every effort will be made to minimize the duration of the disruption and to keep communities informed of any updates.
Residents are urged to plan ahead to reduce inconvenience during this essential maintenance period. You can visit their website for more updates on https://www.silulumanzi.com
